With just a few ingredients and simple steps, you can make this café-quality drink at home. This recipe combines the warmth of cinnamon, cloves, and ginger with the smoothness of milk and ice for a perfectly refreshing treat.

Iced Chai Latte

This easy recipe blends spices, tea, milk, and ice for a cool, creamy beverage that's full of flavor.

For the Chai Tea Concentrate

  • 1 ½ cups water
  • ½ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4-5 whole cloves
  • 2-3 slices fresh ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
  • 2 chai tea bags

For the Iced Chai Latte

  • 1 cup cooled chai tea concentrate
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • Ice cubes

Prepare the Chai concentrate

  1. In a small pot, combine water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, ground cinnamon, cloves, and ginger.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes to let the spices infuse.
  4. Remove from heat, add the chai tea bags, and steep for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Discard the tea bags and strain the concentrate to remove spices. Let it cool completely.

Blend the Iced Chai Latte

  1. In a blender, combine 1 cup of the cooled chai tea concentrate, 2 cups of milk, and a generous handful of ice cubes.
  2. Blend until smooth and frothy.

Serve and Enjoy

  1. Pour the iced chai latte into a tall glass.
  2. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or whipped cream for an extra indulgent touch (optional).
