Ingredients
For the Chai Tea Concentrate
- 1 ½ cups water
- ½ cup sugar adjust to taste
- 2-3 cinnamon sticks
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 4-5 whole cloves
- 2-3 slices fresh ginger or 1 tsp ground ginger
- 2 chai tea bags
For the Iced Chai Latte
- 1 cup cooled chai tea concentrate
- 2 cups milk dairy or plant-based
- Ice cubes
Instructions
Prepare the Chai concentrate
- In a small pot, combine water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, ground cinnamon, cloves, and ginger.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes to let the spices infuse.
- Remove from heat, add the chai tea bags, and steep for 5-7 minutes.
- Discard the tea bags and strain the concentrate to remove spices. Let it cool completely.
Blend the Iced Chai Latte
